Membership Start

A GBS service membership can be initiated without review within the first 15 days of purchase. Memberships initiated after 15 days which include wear and tear parts will require an initial inspection at 79 euro plus wear and tear parts to bring the bicycle up to ‘GBS standards.

Fair usage

The max km per year is based on a fair use policy. GBS holds the right to upgrade, refuse service or cancel the membership in case of extended or extreme usage

Doorstep Service

GBS offers mobile services which means that we will service bicycles at our customers chosen location. This is limited to physical boundaries: our vans cannot enter high rise or non-accessible zones

Maintenance

All memberships include minimally one full service as part of the contract.

Repairs

Repairs due to damage are excluded from the membership but will be repaired without call-out fees at discounted rates.

Warranty Handling

Included in the service contract is warranty handling where we will review and provide a short report to the customer concerning his/her warranty request.

Wear and Tear Parts

Wear and tear parts are included in some contracts and will be changed when depreciated. GBS will only replace wear and tear parts when the usage of the bicycle is within normal usage.

Communication

GBS is allowed to send you emails which are relevant to your service membership. These can contain information on service intervals, potential safety related equipment and other information which is deemed valuable for the customer.

Solution Time

Reaction times and Repair times: SLA’s are target times and depend on the availability of mechanics and parts. No claims can be made on the reaction speed or target resolution time vs actual resolution time

No Show

In case of no show (customer is not on location at the designated time/date/location) GBS holds the right to invoice 50 euro to cover costs.
All repairs and maintenance on the bicycle have to be executed by GBS or a GBS designated service point.

Coverage

The membership is valid in the country where the bike is sold in. On request GBS can at free will offer service and repairs in other countries where it is active.

Usage

The membership is only applicable to bicycles solely used for private usage. Customers are expected to give the bicycle the proper care and attention expected as an owner. This includes regular cleaning, oiling chains (if applicable) and keeping tires inflated.

Contract length, extension, and cancelation

A membership is valid for a period of 12 months and is invoiced over a SEPA invoice. The membership is automatically extended with 3 months for an indefinite period. The membership can be canceled at any time after the 12 months period of after which the customers membership will automatically end after 3 months.

The membership is valid on one bicycle and one user as is determined in the GBS asset system. The personal data (name, address, contact information) and asset information (type of bicycle, purchasing date and service history) are stored on GBS systems.

Customer and Asset identification

The customer is identified over a membership number which is connected to the person and an asset ID number which can be found on the Unique GBS sticker as provided in the welcome package after the SEPA payment has been activated.
